Expansion of the Beauport bulk terminal

In 2012, the St. Lawrence Stevedoring makes another major investment at its Beauport terminal, prolonging its main conveyor along the quay as well as adding mobile hoppers on its gantry cranes, improving the bulk unloading. The new CO2 transfer tower and C02a conveyor, with the addition of hopper, now permit unloading and simultaneous loading of ships with the new conveyor system. Cribtec proudly participated in engineering, automation and electrical construction of this important project in the Port of Quebec.

Key Project Deliverables

The major deliverables are, the design of power and control, supply, electrical installation and project startup including, among others:

  • Automation and addition of new automatic modes of conveyor controls on the St. Lawrence Stevedoring User Interface System..
  • Power, Automation and Controls hoppers cranes 5, 6, 7 and 8.
  • Expansion and modification of electrical facilities and power supply of the new equipment and conveyors.
  • Power, automation and controls of mobile handling equipment.

Cribtec Division | Phase II

Following the successful completion of Phase 1, St. Lawrence Stevedoring continues the modification of the Beauport terminal by creating a conveyor loop allowing it to operate more easily the northern part. The C09 conveyor is extended and the C15 is added.
